Ostrowski develops interactive software for
audio/visual projects using Cycling
'74s Max/MSP/Jitter language. He is a staff engineer and
teacher at Harvestworks in
New York, and was a staff programmer at Engine 27 in in 2003-04.
Projects have included multichannel audio/video show control, extended electronic instruments, sensor-based multimedia installations, spatialization software, and video tracking.
His clients have included Laurie Anderson, Christopher Janney, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and Martha Rosler. He has also worked on projects for the Zürich-based Klangbau, developing game software for Expo 2002 in Switzerland, and worked on the development team making custom broadcast software for Foster Kent Studios in Salzburg.
He has also developed custom electronic instruments for Doug Henderson, Shelley Hirsch, Andrea Parkins, Zeena Parkins, David Watson, and many others.
